Title:
Business Portfolio Website - Film & Photography Services (Germany)
Project Goal:
With this second website, I aimed to differentiate myself from my personal photography site by offering a strong, business-oriented landing page that clearly communicates my three main service areas: film production, corporate photography, and wedding cinematography. The focus was on clarity, direct access to portfolio sections, and building credibility.
UX Approach & Structure:
- Clear value proposition on the landing page, stating my core services
- Buttons linking directly to individual portfolio categories for fast navigation
- Visual segmentation of the homepage into the three main business branches
- Integration of well-known client references to establish trust
- Showcase of selected top projects with images linking to my older site (www.fotomarian.de)
- Contact form placed directly on the homepage for easy reach
- Full SEO optimization across each page for better visibility
UI Design Choices:
- Strong hero section with service categories visually separated
- Strategic placement of CTA buttons early on the page
- Clear and simple font combinations for professional feel
- Responsive layout with mobile-friendly navigation
- Visual hierarchy to guide users through services, portfolio, and contact
Tools & Platform Used:
- WordPress (1&1 IONOS Hosting)
- Visual page builder (Elementor or Classic Editor)UX/UI Case Study - Business Website: www.lm-image.de
- Image optimization and SEO plugins integrated
Testing & Feedback:
The structure was tested with business clients to ensure clear messaging and usability. The portfolio buttons and client references received positive feedback. Linking to existing work on www.fotomarian.de allowed me to reuse high-quality assets while maintaining a new, streamlined experience.
What I Learned:
- How to design with business users in mind, focusing on clarity and direct access
- The importance of building trust through references and strong structure
- How to create synergy between two separate sites using cross-linking
- That even a simple structure can feel premium when the layout and messaging are aligned
